Update on Shiny Silver Boots

Update on Shiny Silver Boots

I didn’t expect this to happen.

One video.
Over 12,000 new followers.
And one question I kept receiving:

“Where can I buy these boots?”

So I decided to find out.

I reached out directly to the factory in Japan, explaining the situation as clearly as I could. The response?

“We do not handle overseas exports.”

It was simple.
And honestly, not surprising.

The reasons were too familiar:

Not enough manpower.
Limited budget.
No system to handle international operations.

In other words— they simply weren’t built to sell outside Japan.

But what struck me wasn’t just the response. It was the gap.

On the U.S. side: “There are people who want these boots.”

On the Japan side: “We can’t handle it.”

There is demand.
There is a supply.

But there is no system connecting the two. Japanese SMEs struggle to export.

This isn’t a rare case. In fact, it’s very common among small and mid-sized businesses in Japan.

Many of the products that represent Japan today were originally created by companies like these.

Their craftsmanship is real.
Their quality is not the issue.

The challenge is structure.

Lack of English support.
No system for small-scale testing.
Concerns about complaints and liability.

These are not product problems.
They are system problems.

And they quietly prevent great products from reaching global markets.

This gap is exactly why I do what I do.

Not just to export products, but to connect the demand and supply that should have been met.

Japan has incredible products.

But “good” does not automatically mean “accessible.”

Bringing them to the world requires more than quality. It requires structure.

And that’s where I come in.

For now, this particular product is not available overseas.

But this experience matters.

Because it shows what’s missing—and what needs to be built.

I will continue exploring realistic ways to bring Japanese products to international markets.

And to everyone who followed because of that video—thank you.

I’ll do my best to unbox Japan for you.
